History of White Tea
Scientific name: Camellia sinensis

White tea is a popular and aristocratic tea that comes from the newly sprouted leaves and tea buds of the Camellia sinensis plant. This tea is especially distinguished from other types by the white hairs on the buds. In spring, when the buds have not yet opened, these shoots are picked and are steamed before being dried. Due to its gentle processing, white tea retains a significant amount of polyphenols and catechins, which are highly beneficial for health.
